Railway Recruitment Cell, North Eastern Railway (NER) invites applications from eligible Indian Citizens for recruitment of Group 'C' posts against Cultural Quota for the Year 2016-17. The last date for receipt of applications is 19th September 2016.

Age Limit: 18 to 32 Years as on 1st January 2017. Age Relaxation as per GOI Rules.
Pay Scale: Pay Band-1 ₹ 5200-20200 with Grade Pay ₹ 1900 / 2000
Essential Qualification:
(a) For technician-III -> Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI in relevant trade (Recognised by SCVT, NCVT) and for other posts, 12th or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. The compulsion of 50% marks in aggregate will not be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates.
(b) Candidate should possess Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Drama/ Music from Government recognised Institute.
Desirable Qualification:
(1) Experience in the field and performance given on All India Radio/ Doordarshan etc.
(2) Prizes won at National level.
Recruitment Process:
(A) Written Test consisting of 50 objective type questions-50 marks.
(B) Assessment of talent in the relevant field: (i) On the basis of practical demonstration-35 marks (ii) On the basis of Testimonials/Prizes etc.- 15 marks. (Total 100 marks)
Examination Fee: Indian Postal Order (IPO) for ₹ 500/- or ₹ 250/- as the case may be. SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, Minority candidates and candidates belonging to Economically Backward Classes should enclose self attested copies of the certificates issued by appropriate authority.
How to apply: Eligible candidates apply in the prescribed application form. Application shall be submitted on good quality white plain A4 size paper in prescribed format using only one side of the paper, The application should be filled either in English or Hindi in the applicant's own handwriting using a blue or black ball point pen.

Railway, CCM Annexe Building, Railway Road No. 14, Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh)-273012 or may be dropped in the box kept at the premises of Railway Recruitment Cell, Gorakhpur between 09.30 hrs. to 18.00 hrs. on any working day on or before 19/09/2016. The postal cover envelope duly super scribing "CULTURAL QUOTA". The Serving Government employees should send their applications through proper channel duly forwarded by their controlling officers.
